I play a lot of games that have many gameplay styles from JRPGs to Action-Adventure, all the way to calming puzzle games or tough roguelikes. I cannot purchase every game I want to play, so when games come to subscription services, I like to sometimes highlight titles people should play before they disappear since third party games don’t always stick around permanently in the subscription.
Persona 3 Reload / Reload Season Pass

Okay, if you know me, I am a person who absolutely loves RPGs and JRPGs specifically. I finished Persona 3 Reload back in February on PS5, and the game was absolutely beautiful from top to bottom. It isn’t my favorite Persona game from Atlus, but it hits all the marks to make it a great one. One of the great things about Gamepass, if you have Gamepass Ultimate, you get the newly announced Season Pass that includes the Aegis DLC when it launches later this year at no additional cost. I played the game on PS5, so I am going to buy the DLC there, but when I beat it there, I may do another run of Persona 3 Reload on Xbox. Did I claim the DLC on Xbox for free since I can? Absolutely, it is an absolute no brainer to do so because eventually, I will probably want to go back into Tartarus for the third time.
A Little to the Left

I finished this game yesterday after having it on my backlog. A very simplistic puzzle game where you have to solve puzzles of changing variety. Usually, the puzzles are very similar from looking at colors, designs, height of the objects, organizing different things, and more. Some of the puzzles are definitely trickier for sure, but there are a lot of them that just make you want to zone out a bit into a trance. I really enjoyed my few hours in the puzzler that doesn’t offer much more than a chance to really use your brain to solve a mountain of activities. There are five overarching levels with multiple sublevels on each that grow in complexity over the course of the game. Again, for it being on GamePass and a fan of puzzle games, I knew I couldn’t pass this one up while I had the chance.
Dordogne

This was a game that I had downloaded for the longest time on both my Xbox and my PC since it launched last year on Gamepass. I was in-between my bigger titles (two long JRPGs), and thought I should play a shorter and quicker game. Well Dordogne was definitely a short adventure that took about four (4) hours of my time. Dordogne has simplistic gameplay, collecting items, solving puzzles, and helping Mimi on her journey to restore her memories of what happened when she was younger. This game had some moments of phenomenal storytelling through the imagery and plot lines, and then other moments where it was a bit heavier for topics that came up. The beauty of the game is through its watercolor art style above everything, but it was relaxing and a nice change of pace between some bigger titles.
Evil West

Being in the wild west is something I probably couldn’t do in this day and age with all of the technology that I have grown accustom to. However, playing as a cowboy with an arm that can produce electrical attacks to try and save everyone from a monster that is trying to take over the world from Vampires is something I can get behind. Sure, the game definitely has a few issues that it struggles to work out (online play being one of them), but playing the game in single player trying to find the collectables, killing vampires, solving simplistic puzzles, and more all within the combat style of the new God of War is something I can get, and have gotten, behind. This is not a game to pass up now that it is available on Gamepass!
Spongebob Squarepants Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated

Okay, this one will turn a few heads but, I am absolutely a supporter of 3D collect-a-thon platformers. Those were some of the many games that I grew up on and was some of my first steps, and one of them was the original BFBB game on PS2. The remake came out quite a while ago and I already played and got the Platinum trophy on PS4, but I am probably going to be playing it again to get the full Gamerscore on Xbox since it is on the service. If you are a fan of the old Nickelodeon Spongebob from Stephen Hillenburg and a fan of 3D platformers, you should play this faithful remake from Purple Lamp / THQ Nordic because they did a superb job.
There are a lot more games that are part of the service with new ones coming in very frequently. These are just five that I personally have enjoyed my time with enough to say they should be looked at if you are a subscriber. Are there games that I should play on there that you recommend? I would love to hear what some other recommendations are for games on the service that are third party experiences.
