Latest patch 1.2.0 to include bug fixes and fan requests
Ubisoft is set to release their latest update for Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla on all platforms as part of their on-going effort to support this installment much after it’s initial release. Set to go live tomorrow on March 16th, 2021 will include a new seasonal activity for fans to enjoy, called the Ostara Festival. This is a spring themed update that you’ll be able to experience in your settlement Ravensthorpe. The timeframe to participate in the Ostara Festival is March 18 – April 8, which will allow players to take advantage of new and unique activities such as egg hunts, and offer up some new goodies as rewards. More on what’s to come with the Ostara Festival will be up on Ubisoft’s website March 18.
Don’t Let The Good Looks Fool You

Ubisoft is adding in a new feature to the game that’s purely cosmetic, and it’s called Transmog. This lets players change the appearance of their gear/weapons to look like something else. If you have a favorite weapon that you don’t really want to part with because of how cool it looks, then you can take its appearance and add it onto a stronger weapon or piece of gear. However, the items that you’re changing have to be within the same category of each other, and those same changed items will be marked with a star in your inventory. Talk to Gunnar the blacksmith in Ravensthorpe and cough up 50 silver to make these changes.
Same Assassin, New Tricks

- Fearless Leaper = When activated, the leap attack damage has a larger area of effect and can be done at any height.
- Raven’s Loot = Your raven gathers loot from targets killed with ranged attacks.
- Loot Food = Eivor now has a higher chance of looting food from dead bodies.
Improved Camera
A new camera feature lets you switch between having a closer view of Eivor during normal gameplay but zooms out and goes back to the original camera style whenever you engage in combat. This new feature can be changed in the Gameplay menu.
Quality of Life Improvements
The other improvements that are coming along with this update are various bug fixes that players have experienced while playing this game. While some of them haven’t necessarily been game breaking, they have become a nuisance for players. Below are a list of bugs that are getting fixed with the update:
- Balancing
- Quests, World Events, and Side Activities
- Graphics, Audio, and Animation
- River Raids
- Gameplay, Combat, and AI

Ubisoft’s website goes into much more detailed in regards to the above points that you can see for yourself here.
